Workshops

Overcoming Shyness

When a student transfers to a new school it is normal to experience shyness and at times it can be difficult to overcome. This valuable workshop is designed to explain the reasons and ways UCF students can overcome shyness both on and off campus. This workshop is presented by the Counseling Center for current transfer students and is a great opportunity to meet fellow transfer students and get some good information.

Experiential Learning: How-To find co-op, internship, and service learning opportunities

Many majors require some kind of experiential learning in order to graduate. Career Services and the Experiential Learning Office have put together a helpful workshop presented by Amanda Pacheco. This office helps students find co-op, internship, and service learning opportunities. Co-op and internships offer work experience related to your major or career goals, and in most cases, these positions are paid. Service-Learning allows you to serve the community within the academic courses you choose. This session will tell you more about these options and how to get involved.

Career Services

Does your major fit your personality? Still looking for the right major? Join us in this workshop by Career Services and take the Myers-Briggs personality inventory to find which major fits you best!

Study Abroad

This workshop is presented by Michael Fazecas of the Office of International Studies. Topics include how a program is created, the average coast, and what the difference is between semester and short programs. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions that might be on your mind. Learn all of the information you need to know to take advantage of your opportunity to study abroad.
